A premium movie watching experience.
The Avengers: Endgame is the biggest movie of the year. It’s a whopping 3 hour move epic that concludes a story arc more than 10 years in the making. I’m sure you knew about that, as sure as you’ve been telling your partner that you love her 3,000! And I’m sure you’re already looking for answers to those burning movie questions. So, I leave the movie stuff for others to write about. I’m here to tell you about the movie house experience.
Being an epic movie, most of the theaters were booked early. We decided to get GV’s Gold Class seats. It was because they offered the premium movie and dining experience. We booked for a Saturday afternoon screening at Vivo City.
We arrived an hour early. As such, we were able to enjoy the lounge exclusive to Gold Class ticket holders. While waiting, we skimmed through the menu. They offer a good selection of dishes from light to heavy. It’s quite pricy, buy hey, that’s the price of luxury.
They also have a wine tasting station. Wine tasting seems like an activity inside fancy restaurants, so having this in the room gives a vibe of added luxury. We don’t drink alcohol, so we skipped that experience.
After 20 minutes of lounging, the theater was ready. We were the first one inside. Being in Gold Class, I was expecting comfortable seats, but these exceeded all my expectations. We have full recliner seats! By the mere push of a button, our seats reclined as we wished. There were also blankets for extra comfort. As you can see, my wife and I are loving it! Note that these are not couple seats where you can cuddle.
We already pre-ordered our meal. We were served Crispy wings, French fries, Garden salad and soda. Not your usual popcorn or nachos. We have our own table so eating was very comfortable. Did you notice that green button? It is to call out the waiters. They’d come to you should you need them say order additional popcorn or drinks. It’s like having a butler waiting.
The seats around the theater were arranged in such way that your view is clear of any persons head. The seats are clustered by twos, and the next cluster is significantly far and lower than yours. They are also far enough that you would not hear whispers which sometimes cause annoyance. I was worried that while I eat my crispy chicken, the crunch may be heard by others. My wife informed me that she didn’t hear any. Aside from the loud laughter, gasps, screams, and collective ooohh’s and aaahhh’s, we’re pretty much isolated from the noise or hush from other viewers.
We had a wonderful time. Our seats were as comfortable as it can be, making the 3hour movie more enjoyable. There are other premium seats out there, that we’d love to try some other time. I heard that the other cinema offers “duo or couple seats”. That’s definitely on our list.
Being here is also pricey, but well worth the mullah, especially when your purpose is to impress your date. If its too much strain on the budget, there are cheaper options for premium cinema seats.
