Lush Bubble Bar

Updated: May 22, 2019

My girls like their baths. I could tell by the amount of time they spend there. As such, one of the things we’re always on the look out when traveling are bathtubs.

As a guy, I would think of bath time as a time spent cleaning ourselves. One would need soap to scrub the dirt away, and shampoo to wash your hair. Water is essential to remove any soap / shampoo residue. Whole process would take about 5 to 10 minutes.

Girls, however, view bath time in a very different perspective. Some baths take more than an hour, to which my little baby is becoming accustomed to. Starting with bubble baths!

We were at Vivo City, on our way home, when we were greeted by this bathtub full of bubbles! You see, we tried, and tried and tried to get fluffy bubbles in our bubble baths. Bubble bath soap bars, bubble bath bombs, liquid bubble baths. Nothing seems to produce the amount of bubbles that we were expecting. So when we saw Lush, we had renewed hope and excitement.

With some help from the staff, we were guided to their bubble bars section. Lush have other products aside for bubble bars. You can visit their online store here. We asked if these bubble bars are safe for babies and was informed that they were. We bought the “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles” for $15.00. It has a Grapefruit scent and Sicilian Lemon Oils. One thing I liked about it is that it is “reusable,” meaning I don’t have to use the whole thing to make a bubble bath. Plus it doubles as a toy so you can blow bubbles through the donut hole.

Instructions indicated that we need to use hot water to make our bubble bath. I put the bar under running water and watched the bubbles formed. At first try, I think we used too much of the bubble bar. The bar was under running water for about 20 secs. It did have the effect we were looking for. We had lots and lots of bubbles.

Obviously, my toddler loved it!

Now she wants to take baths multiple times a day…

For subsequent baths, we had the bath bar under hot running water for about 5 to 10 seconds and the amount of bubbles produced were comparable to the first try. As you can see, there’s not much change from the size of the bubble bar after being used twice. We’re expecting we can get about 10 to 15 bubble baths with one bar. Not bad for $15.00.

My baby girl is having a blast with her bubble baths. Now just need to find a place for the mommy. Any staycation suggestions?
