We first tasted Tiger Sugar in Taiwan. We really enjoyed the drink that we bought a cup each day that we we're there.
We were delighted to learn that Tiger Sugar is now in Singapore! And that a branch opened up nearby.
We've decided to try it late one evening thinking the queue might be short as the place is constantly packed.
However.....
To their credit, even though the queue was long, the wait was relatively short. It was about a 5 min wait to put in an order, and another 5 before the order was served.
And so we had this... And it's same thing we had in Taiwan. It's milk with brown sugar syrup and tapioca pearls.
I'd say their quality control is doing it's job as this taste exactly like we had in Taiwan. No wonder there are lots of patrons.
The differences-
It's more pricey. The same thing costs NT$55 in Taipei, or NT$50 in Taichung.
Cup seems smaller. The cup height seems to be the same, but the cup diameter seems smaller. It feels this cup is easier to hold.
We're very grateful that we can enjoy a cup of Tiger Sugar again, this time with our kids.
So next time you're craving for something sweet and relatively healthy you might want to give this a try.
